SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN ANGELO TX 1215 PM CDT THU SEP 10 1987 AT NOON CDT SAN ANGELO RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...FROM 10 NORTH OF SAN ANGELO TO GARDEN CITY. THE HEAVIEST OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED 4 MILES SOUTH OF STERLING CITY TO 15 MILES WEST OF STERLING CITY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE SAN ANGELO AREA BETWEEN 1 AND 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...ALTHOUGH SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL LIKELY PRECEDE THEM OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF THE CITY IN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN...STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS ...AND DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. STAY TUNED TO YOUR RADIO..T.V. OR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
