AT 500PM CDT A THUNDERSTORM WAS GATHERING STRENGTH ON THE MISSOURI BORDER IN WESTERN BARTON COUNTY. THIS STORM INCREASED RAPIDLY IN BOTH INTENSITY AND SPEED. MOVEMENT WAS TOWARD THE EAST AT 40 MPH.
