THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...GREENE

AT 600  PM CDT THE TOTAL RAINFALL IN SPRINGFIELD HAD REACHED
OVER 5 AND ONE HALF INCHES.  RADAR INDICATED THAT HEAVY RAINFALL
CONTINUED OVER GREENE COUNTY AND WITH MANY AREAS HAVING HIGH WATER
PROBLEMS ALREADY...THERE IS A RISK OF FLASH FLOODING ALONG STREAMS
AND RIVERS IN GREENE COUNTY AT LEAST UNTIL 8PM.

BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATER.  STAY AWAY FROM FLOODING CREEKS..
STREAMS AND STORM DRAINS.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK OR DRIVE THROUGH
FLOWING WATER.

PERSONS IN LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR
RAPIDLY RISING WATER AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY.

IF THREATNING  WEATHER APPROACHES..YOU SHOULD GO TO A SAFE PLACE
IMMEDIATELY AND RELAY YOUR SEVERE WEATHER REPORT TO THE NEAREST
