<<<<<<<<^GTFSPSMSO SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MISSOULA MT 3.30PM MONDAY JUNE 15, 1987 THE NATIONAL SEVERE STORMS FORECAST CENTER IN KANSAS CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR ALL OR PORTIONS OF MISSOULA, MINERAL, RAVALLI, AND GRANITE COUNTIES IN MONTANA AS WELL AS NEIGHBORING COUNTIES IN IDAHO. THIS WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10PM MDT THIS EVENING. AT 3.30 THIS AFTERNOON MISSOULA WEATHER RADAR IS SHOWING SOME VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT 60 MILES SOUTH-SOUTH WEST OF MISSOULA AND THESE STORMS ARE MOVING NORTH-NORTH EAST AT ABOUT 30MPH. THESE STORMS, AS WELL AS OTHERS THAT MAY FORM OVER THE AREA IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS COULD PRODUCE STRONG WINDS AND HAI L. WE WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH THIS SYSTEM, AND ISSUE FURTHER STATEMENTS AS CONDITIONS WARRANT... GOENS/2135
