THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY OF

CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SOUTHERN MEEKER INCLUDING THE CITIES OF GROVE
CITY...LITCHFIELD...COSMOS.

AT 534 PM THE KANDIYOHI COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED 3/4 INCH HAIL
AND 40 TO 50 MPH WIND AT LAKE LILLIAN...15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
WILLMAR.

AT 540 RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTHEAST KANDIYOHI
COUNTY MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE
HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN
AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE
WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF
SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
