MONTGOMERY AND 3 MILES WEST OF MONTGOMERY MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST

MOBILE RADAR AT 1010 AM CDT SHOWED VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS EMBEDDED IN AN AREA OF LIGHT TO MODERATRE RAIN MOVING INTO THE SOUTHWEST ALABAMA COUNTIES OF WASHINGTON AND MOBILE FROM SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI. THE HEAVIEST STORMS WERE FROM LEAKSVILLE MISSISSIPPI TO GRAND BAY ALABAMA. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. PERSONS IN EXTREME SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COUNTIES AND SOUTHWEST ALABAMA MAY EXPERIENCE BRIEF FLOODING OF ROADWAYS DUE TO THE HEAVY RAINFALL... STRONG LIGHTNING STRIKES AND WIND GUST IN THE LOW5 30 RANGE. ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS WILL BE ISSUED AS NEEDED.
