500 PM CDT FRI MAY 29 1987

...A TORNADO WATCH WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 530 PM CDT UNTIL 1100 PM CDT
    FOR BAILEY...LAMB...HALE...FLOYD...MOTLEY...COCHRAN...HOCKLEY...
    LUBBOCK...CROSBY...YOAKUM...TERRY...LYNN AND GARZA COUNTIES...

AT 5 PM CDT LUBBOCK RADAR WAS INDICATING A VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM
IN SOUTHERN LYNN COUNTY NEAR ODONNELL. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTH AT
12 MILES PER HOUR. AT 438 PM THE FIRE STATION AT ODONNELL HAD NO
WEATHER BUT IT THE CLOUDS WERE BOILING. RADAR WAS SHOWING RAPID
INTENSIFICATION.

OTHER ISOLATED SHOWERS WERE DEVELOPING IN BAILEY AND COCHRAN COUNTY.
