...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON FOR MOST OF EAST
CENTRAL LOUISIANA...INCLUDING THE BATON ROUGE METROPOLITAN AREA...

ST. LANDRY PARISH SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED A POWER LINE DOWN...
SOME ROOF DAMAGE AND A SMALL SHED DAMAGED IN OPELOUSAS AT 925AM.
NO INJURIES.

RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED STRONG THUDERSTORMS BETWEEN SIMMESPORT AND
LAFAYETTE AND BETWEEN BATON ROUGE AND NEW IBERIA.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS
WERE MOVING RAPIDLY NORTHEAST AND WILL BE MOVING THROUGH THE REMAINDER
OF ST. LANDRY AND POINTE COUPEE PARISHES DURING THE NEXT HOUR.

ELSEWHERE...A LARGE SOLID AREA OF RAIN WITH A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
COVERED LOUISIANA FROM ALEXANDRIA TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...SOUTH
ACROSS THE BATON ROUGE AND LAFAYETTE AREAS TO THE COAST.  THIS AREA WAS
MOVING EAST ABOUT 20 MPH.
