SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORT ARTHUR TX 145 PM CDT TUE JUN 16 1987 A LINE OF NUMEROUS VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED FROM KOUNTZE TO SILSBEE IN HARDIN COUNTY ACROSS SOUTHERN JASPER AND NEWTON COUNTIES. THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS DRIFTING SLOWING TOWARD THE SOUTH. HEAVY RAIN...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND GUSTY WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS. THIS LINE OF STORMS WILL BE MOVING pINTO ORANGE COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR. DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT SOME FLOODING OF STREETS..LOW LYING AREAS AND OTHER FLOOD PRONE AREAS MAY BE EXPECTED.
