000 TTAA00 KOFK 171950 SVROFK NEC139-179-172030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORFOLK NE 250 PM CDT MON AUG 17 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...PIERCE AND WAYNE AT 245 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF NORFOLK IN PIERCE COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH. AT 243 PM CDT GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PIERCE IN PIERCE COUNTY. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE P[REPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY. BOWMAN
