637 PM CDT SAT AUG 15 1987

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF

NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...HOLT

AT 630 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 2 MILES NORTH
OF O NEILL AND 20 MILES WEST OF O NEILL.  ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDER
STORM WAS LOCATED 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF O NEILL.  MOVEMENT WAS TO
THE NORTHEAST 15 MPH.

AT 628 PM CDT MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED AT ATKINSON AND A
POSSIBLE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED 2 MILES NORTH OF O NEILL AT
630 PM CDT.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A
PLACE OF SAFETY.

 ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF NORTH
 CENTRAL NEBRASKA UNTIL 11 PM CDT.
