NEBRASKA IN CENTRAL KEITH COUNTY MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN
HOUR.
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 400 PM CDT MON JUN 8 1987 NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST...CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA THIS AFTERNOON. AT 330 PM CDT HEAVY RAIN AND PEA SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED AT BRULE NEBRASKA WHICH IS IN WEST KEITH COUNTY ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OGALLALA NEBRASKA. OTHER INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER AND IN THE VICINITY OF LAKE MCCONAUGHY IN KEITH COUNTY PRODUCING GUSTY WINDS... HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO LOCATED IN FRONTIER AND RED-WILLOW COUNTIES OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA. ALL THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. VERY HEAVY RAIN ...HAIL...DA:NGEROUS LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WIND WILL OCCUR AS THESE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE MOVING ACROSS NEBRASKA INTO THE EVENING HOURS. MEYER
