000 TTAA00 KLBF 202245 SVRLBF NEC041-202340- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 445 PM CST FRI MAR 20 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 540 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF CENTRAL NEBRASKA...CUSTER AT 440 PM CST A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF CUSTER COUNTY TO SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CUSTER COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THE LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES...GET TO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR STRONG DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. REPORTS OF SEVERE WEATHER OR DAMAGE CAN BE GIVEN TO A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA THIS AFTERNOON. AT 330 PM CST SOME OF THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN SOUTH LOGAN COUNTY EXTENDING INTO NORTHEAST LINCOLN COUNTY. THIS WOULD PUT THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS 15 TO 25 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF NORTH PLATTE NEBRASKA. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. PERSONS ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA CAN EXPECT PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN..SOME HAIL..AND VERY GUSTY WINDS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. MEYER
