000 TTAA00 KJAN 280907 SVRJAN MSC055-125-280945- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 307 AM CST SAT FEB 28 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 345 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...ISSAQUENA AND SHARKEY AT 305 AM CST A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR IN SOUTHWEST ISSAQUENA COUNTY MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND SPEEDS TO 60 MPH OR HIGHER..DIME SIZED HAIL OR LARGER..DANGEROUS LIGHTNING..AND EVEN TORNADOS. PEOPLE SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF THREATENING WEATrHER APPROACHES.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 245 AM CST SAT FEB 28 1987 AT 245 AM CST...RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTH OF VICKSBURG IN WARREN COUNTY AND 10 MILES SOUTH OF HOLLY BLUFF. THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING MARBLE SIZE HAIL IN WARREN COUNTY. THEY WERE PART OF A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED FROM GREENWOOD TO WINNSBORO LOUISIANA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTZHEAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS AND LIGHT RAIN WERE OCCURRING OVER WEST AND NORTH MISSISSIPPI. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR.
