000 TTAA00 KIND 112318 SVRIND INC045-171-112350- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN 617 PM EST SAT APR 11 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 650 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF WEST CENTRAL INDIANA...NORTHERN FOUNTAIN AND SOUTHERN WARREN AT 610 PM EST...RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THE INDIANA- ILLINOIS STATE LINE ABOUT 10 MILES NORTH OF DANVILLE ILLINOIS. DANVILLE IS 40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH AT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE TOWNS OF WEST LEBANON AND WILLIAMSPORT AND ATTICA BY 650 PM. THESE STORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE lA SMALL TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR...LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
