EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM EST FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF
WEST CENTRAL INDIANA... WARREN
AT 240 PM EST...RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES NORTHEAST
OF DANVILLE ILLINOIS. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST 15 MPH AND WILL BE
NEAR WILLIAMSPORT BETWEEN 315 AND 330 PM.

STORM REPORT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN 848 AM EST TUE JUN 2 1987 HERE IS AN UPDATE OF THE REPORTED TORNADO IN RUSH COUNTY ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON MAY 31 1987. AT 400 PM EST A TORNADO WAS REPORTED 3 MILES NORTH OF RUSHVILLE BY THE RUSH COUNTY SHERIFF. A WARNING WAS ISSUED FOR EASTERN RUSH COUNTY IN CENTRAL INDIANA AT 406PM EST. IT WAS LATER LEARNED THAT THERE WAS NO TORNADO IN THAT AREA. WHAT LIKELY WAS OBSERVED WAS A WHIRL OF DUSET ASSOCIATED WITH GUSTY WINDS AHEAD OF THE OUTFLOW FROM THE APPROACHING THUNDERSTORMS. THERE WAS NO TORNADO IN RUSH COUNTY ON SATURDAY MAY 31ST. EDWARDS

STORMS WERE 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WHEATFIELD...OR 30 MILES SOUTH OF GARY...10 MILES WEST OF OXFORD...OR 30 MILES WEST OF LAFAYETTE...AND BETWEEN CAYUGA AND ATTICA...OR ABOUT 25 TO 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE.
