THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WARNING FOR BENTON COUNTY HAS EXPIRED.

AT 448 PM EST THE BENTON COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTED WINDS OF
20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR NORTH OF FOWLER.

AT 500 PM EST RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM PLYMOUTH...
SOUTHWEST THROUGH WINAMAC TO FOWLER..WHICH IS 20 MILES NORTHWEST
OF LAFAYETTE.

THE STRONGEST OF THE STORM WAS JUST NORTH OF FOWLER. ALL OF THE
STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING.

PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER. SWIMMERS AND
BOATERS ON LAKE SHAFER AND ON LAKE FREEMAN SHOULD TAKE SHELTER.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT OF MOST OF WESTERN
AND NORTHERN INDIANA UNTIL 8 PM EST.

AT 530 PM EST 40 MILES THE INDIANA STATE POLICE REPORTED 40 MILE
AN HOUR WINDS JUST NORTH OF REYNOLDS...ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH
OF LAFAYETTE.

THE WHITE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED AT 550 PM EST WIND SPEEDS OF 40
MILES AN HOUR IN BUFFALO IN NORTHEAST WHITE COUNTY. ALSO VISIBILITIES
WERE BEING REDUCE TO ZERO IN THE AREA BY HEAVY RAINS.

AT 550 PM EST RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM 10 MILES SOUTH
OF SOUTH BEND TO 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE.

THE STRONGEST STORM WAS OVER WHITE COUNTY 30 MILES TO THE
NORTHEAST OF LAFAYETTE.

THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
BOATERS ON LAKE SHAFER AND ON LAKE FREEMAN SHOULD REMAIN IN SHELTER.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WATCH CONTINUES FOR NORTHERN AND WESTERN
INDIANA UNTIL 8 PM EST

SOME CITIES STILL IN THE WATCH ARE SOUTH BEND...LAFAYETTE...

AREA AROUND LOGANSPORT IN CASS COUNTY.

AT 612 PM EST THE INDIANA STATE POLICE REPORTED WIND SPEEDS OF 40
MILES AN HOUR AT LOGANSPORT.

THIS STORM WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST TOWARD THE CITY OF PERU ALONG
US 24.

OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE FROM NEAR ROCHESTER..20 MILES NORTH OF
LOGANSPORT AND 10 MILES NORTH OF KOKOMO.

THESE STORMS CAN PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
