000 TTAA00 KMSN 300040 SVRMSN WIC021-025-300115- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MADISON WI 740 PM CDT WED JUL 29 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN...EASTERN COLUMBIA AND EASTERN DANE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS NOTED ON RADAR 5 MILES NORTH OF RIO MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30. RIO IS ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF MADISON. THE WARNING DOES INCLUDE THE CITY OF MADISON. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE HAIL AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES TAKE SHELTER. REMEMBER..SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.
