THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 345 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...BUFFALO...FRANKLIN...HARLAN...KEARNEY AND 
 PHELPS

AT 145 AM CDT A BAND OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM
SOUTHWESTERN BUFFALO COUNTY THROUGH HARLAN COUNTY.  THE FLASH
FLOOD WARNING INCLUDES THE REPUBLICAN RIVER FROM OXFORD NEBRASKA
TO THE HARLAN COUNTY RESERVOIR...AND ALSO INCLUDES ALL SMALL
STREAMS AND CREEKS IN THE WARNING COUNTIES.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS
BEEN REPORTED.  RESIDENTS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS BY FOOT OR AUTO.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA... ESPECIALLY CAMPERS... SHOULD SEEK HIGHER
GROUND WITHOUT DELAY.  MOTORISTS SHOULD USE CAUTION IN APPROACHING
LOW AREAS OF ROADS.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE OVER A ROAD COVERED BY WATER.  THE ROAD
COULD BE WASHED OUT UNDER THE WATER OR YOUR CAR COULD BE SWEEP AWAY
IF THE WATER IS FLOWING SWIFTLY.
