EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
...NORTHWESTERN CALLAHAN...SOUTHEASTERN JONES...NORTHEASTERN
AT 1210 PM CDT...A FUNNEL CLOUDED WAS OBSERVED REPORTED JUST NORTHEAST
ABILENE IN EXTREME NORTHWEST CALLAHAN COUNTY. MOVEMENT IS TO THE
NORTHEAST 15 MILES AN HOUR.
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...GO TO A BASEMENT OR

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WACO TX 1135 AM CDT THU JUN 11 1987 ...A FLASH FLOOD AND FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR BRAZOS...ROBERTSON... AND MADISON COUNTIES... AT 1130 AM CDT SHOWERS WERE ADVANCING FROM THE SOUTH AS THEY WERE INCREASING IN NUMBER AND INTENSITY AS HEATING OF THE VERY MOIST UNSTABLE AIRMASS STARTS ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM WITH HEAVY RAIN WAS NOTED NEAR HEARNE. THE SHOWERS WERE NUMEROUS FOR 75 MILES TO THE SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM RISING STAR TO MADISONVILLE. MOVEMENT WAS NORTH AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. PEOPLE IN THE AREA OF THE FLASH FLOOD AND FLOOD WATCH SHOULD STAY ON THE ALERT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR POSSIBLE FLOODING.
