SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WACO TX 720 PM CST SAT FEB 14 1987 ...A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CST THIS EVENING FOR MCLENNAN..BELL..CORYELL..BOSQUE..LIMESTONE..FALLS AND HILL COUNTIES... AT 715 PM CST NO THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING IN CENTRAL TEXAS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS..SOME PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE SCATTERED FROM NEAR BROWNWOOD TO NORTHWEST OF STEPHENVILLE. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERAL REPORTS OF HAIL HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AS A RESULT OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS. PERSONS IN CENTRAL TEXAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THESE THUNDERSTORMS AS THEY APPROACH CENTRAL TEXAS. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE SHOULD SEVERE WEATHER BE SIGHTED OR A WARNING ISSUED. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR TO LOCAL RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS FOR LATER STATMENTS OR POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
