FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
...BOSQUE...HILL...LIMESTONE...FALLS...MCLENNAN...LEON...
BRAZOS...ROBERTSON...AND MADISON. THIS INCLUDES WACO AND
BRYAN/COLLEGE...
AT 6:25 PM CDT RADAR SHOWED THE LEADING EDGE OF AN AREA OF VERY
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM DALLAS...TO 10 MILES EAST OF CORSICANA...
TO SOUTHEAST OF CROCKETT. THE BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING
RAPIDLY SOUTHWEST AT 30 MPH.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING INTO LEON AND PORTIONS OF MADISON...

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 910 PM CDT WED JUN 17 1987 THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PARTS OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN TEXAS WHICH INCLUDES THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AT 910 PM...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER MCLENNAN AND LIMESTONE COUNTY. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE BETWEEN WACO AND GROESBECK. MOVEMENT WAS SOUTH AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. DURING THE PAST HOUR...THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DECREASED IN INTENSITY OVER CENTRAL AND EAST TEXAS. HOWEVER...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS NORTHWEST OF AN ABILENE TO WICHITA FALLS LINE WERE DRIFTING EASTWARD AND WILL AFFECT THE NORTHWEST SECTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
