IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA
...EASTERN BON-HOMME...YANKTON
CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE...YANKTON...VOLIN...TABOR.
AT 245 PM CDT RADAR A SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER
FROM 10 MILES WEST OF YANKTON TO YANKTON.
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE ADJACENT WATERS OF THE MISSOURI RIVER.
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM...YOU SHOULD GET TO A
REINFORCED SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH...HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HURON SD 249 PM CDT SAT MAY 2 1987 AT 235 PM CDT...INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN HAD DEVELOPED RAPIDLY ALONG THE SOUTH DAKOTA...NEBRASKA BORDER. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER...FROM 30 MILES WEST OF YANKTON...TO 20 MILES EAST OF YANKTON. HAIL...STRONG WIND...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE. PERSONS NEAR YANKTON...AND THOSE IN RECREATION AREAS ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER...SHOULD BE PREPARED TO PROTECTIVE ACTIONS. ELSEWHERE...A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS JUST EAST AND SOUTHEAST OF SIOUX FALLS. THIS STORM MAY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL... GUSTY WIND AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
