000 TTAA00 KAHN 232041 SVRAHN GAC257-232130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ATHENS GA 435 PM EDT THU APR 23 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA...STEPHENS AT 435 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF STEPHENS COUNTY IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. PERSONS NEAR THE NORTH END OF LAKE HARTWELL SHOULD KEEP ALERT AS THIS STORM PASSES. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS DEFINED AS HAVING WINDS AT LEAST 58 MPH AND/OR HAIL 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER OR LARGER. IF THREATENING WEEATHER APPROACHES...TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS.
