   ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER EXTREME NORTH GEORGIA...

AT 305 PM RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE WHITFIELD
MURRAY LINE IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA. THIS STORM WAS PART OF A LARGER
CONCENTRATION OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM CHATTANOOGA
SOUTHWARD INTO NORTHWEST GEORGIA INTO GORDON COUNTY. THE STORM
APPROACHING CHATSWORTH MARKED THE EASTWARD EXTENT OF THIS AREA.

SMALL HAIL WAS REPORTED AT CHATTANOOGA IN ASSOCIATED STORMS. PERSONS
IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT
LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAIN..AND POSSIBLE HAIL AS THESE STORMS CONTINUE
OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. HEAVY RAIN COULD CAUSE PONDING ON ROADWAYS
AND PRODUCE BRIEF FLOODING IN UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING AREAS.
