...TORNADO WATCH IN EFFECT FOR TEXAS HILL COUNTRY UNTIL 10 PM TONIGHT...

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM TONIGHT FOR THE TEXAS HILL
COUNTRY AND EDWARDS PLATEAU ALONG AND NORTH AND WEST OF A LINE FROM
JUNCTION TO UVALDE TO DEL RIO.  THE CITIES OF JUNCTION...UVALDE AND
DEL RIO ARE INCLUDED IN THE WATCH.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING HAS ALREADY BEEN ISSUED FOR PERSONS IN VAL
VERDE COUNTY UNTIL 645 PM CDT THIS EVENING.  A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS
INDICATED BY RADAR 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF COMSTOCK MOVING TO THE EAST AT
15 MILES AN HOUR.  IN ADDITION...INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE CONTINUED TO
DEVELOP THIS EVENING FROM WEST OF DEL RIO NORTHWARD TO SAN ANGELO...
EXTENDING INTO THE ABILENE AREA.  THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY MOVE
INTO WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE HILL CONURTY AND THE EDWARDS PLATEAU THIS
EVENING AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.

THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT MOVE INTO THESE AREAS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR
LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND EVEN TORNADOES. IN ADDITION TO THESE
FORMS OF SEVERE WEATHER...THE STORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE VERY FREQUENT
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING AND BRIEF BUT HEAVY DOWNPOURS.

EVERYONE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO THIS THREAT OF SEVERE
WEATHER THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT.  CAMPERS
SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR A RELIABLE SOURCE OF WEATHER INFORMATION
AND BE READY TO MOVE TO A SUBSTANTIAL AND NEARBY SHELTER IF NECESSARY.
RESIDENTS IN THE AREA SHOULD KEEP UP TO DATE ON THE LATEST STATEMENTS
AS WELL.  MOTORISTS SHOULD TRAVEL CAUTIOUSLY WHEN NEAR THE MORE INTENSE
THUNDERSTORMS...VISIBILITY MAY LOWER RAPIDLY...STREETS AND ROADS MAY
BECOME SLICK AND WINDS MAY BE GUSTY AT TIMES.  FLOODING OF LOW LYING
AND POORLY DRAINED AREAS IS ALSO POSSIBLE NEAR THESE INTENSE STORMS.

...TORNADO WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES
CENTRAL TEXAS...BURNET...GILLESPIE...LAMPASAS...LLANO...MILLS AND
SAN SABA. THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DECREASED IN INTEMSTY OVER THIS AREA.

AT 1010 PM CDT AUSTIN RADAR SHOWED AN BROAD AREA SHOWERS AND THUNDER
STORMS FROM NORTHEAST OF WACO WESTWARD THROUGH WACO...LAMPASAS AND
SAN SABA  TO WEST OF BRADY. THIS AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS HAS DECREASED
SLOWLY IN INTEMSTY. MOVEMENT WAS EAST SOUTHEAST AT NEAR 20 MPH.
