THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

CENTRAL MISSOURI...SOUTHERN BOONE

AT 258 PM CDT A TORNADO WAS SIGHTED ROUGHLY 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
THE COLUMBIA REGIONAL AIRPORT MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. RESIDENTS OF
SOUTHERN BOONE COUNTY AND THE ASHLAND AREA SHOULD SEEK COVER.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER
IF AVAILABLE...OTHERWISE TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING.

AT 130 PM...VERY INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE BETWEEN 25 MILES NORTHWEST
AND 25 MILES WEST OF THE KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS CONTAIN VERY HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS.

OTHER VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE BETWEEN 30 MILES EAST AND 100 MILES
EAST OF KANSAS CITY.

MOVEMENT OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WAS EAST AT 25 MILES AND HOUR.
