000 TTAA00 KSTL 162236 SVRCOU MOC141-159-053-135-162330- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA MO 535 PM CDT SUN AUG 16 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL MISSOURI...MORGAN...EASTERN PETTIS...SOUTHERN COOPER AND MONITEAU AT 520 PM CDT 3/4 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED AT COLE CAMP IN NORTHERN BENTON COUNTY. A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS IN A 10 MILE WIDE BAND FROM 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SEDALIA TO NEAR WARSAW MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. BOATERS ON LAKES SHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE HAIL AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. HEAVY RAINS WILL QUICKLY FLOOD SMALL STREAMS AND LOW LYING AREAS. THESE STORMS CAN PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED. LA G REE
