WIND GUSTS TO 50 MILES AN HOUR CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF THESE STORMS. OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THIS AREA WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM CHEROKEE TO ESTHERVILLE. A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO LOCATED IN SOUTHWEST IOWA BETWEEN OSCEOLA...ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTH OF DES MOINES...AND RATHBUN RESERVOIR. THIS STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE TIKONKA AND SEXTON AREAS OR AROUND 10 MILES TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF ALGONA BETWEEN 615PM AND 645 PM. STRONG WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR ALONG WITH SOME SAMLL HAIL MAY ACCOMPANY THIS STORM. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 TO 35 MILES AN HOUR. WEINBRECHT

SHERIFF REPORTS INDICATED THAT HAIL JUST SMALLER THAN GOLF BALL SIZE OCCURRED IN THE TOWN OF BURT AT 610 PM THIS EVENING. DURING THE PAST FEW MINUTES...THE STORM WAS SHOWING SIGNS OF WEAKENING. IT WILL STILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL...AND GUSTY WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR.
