SOUTHERN GRANT... FORD... SOUTHERN STEVENS SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS CONTINUED TO MOVE EAST AT ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR. THE LINE EXTENDED FROM JUST SOUTH OF JOHNSON TO ELKHART KANSAS ON INTO THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE 5 MILES EAST OF LAKIN AND FROM 10 MILES NORTH TO 5 MILES SOUTH OF JOHNSON. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. A NEWLY DEVELOPED THUNDERSTORM WAS 20 MILES NORTH OF DODGE CITY.
