SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SCOTTSBLUFF NE 335 PM MDT TUE MAY 26 1987 ...THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO THE SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA PANHANDLE... STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHEAST WYOMING EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON WERE BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO THE SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA PANHANDLE. AT 330PM MDT THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED ABOUT 40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SCOTTSBLUFF NEBRASKA THAT WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WIND AND HAIL IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS OVER BANNER AND SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTIES OF THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE UNTIL 530PM MDT. 3/4 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING WITH THESE STORMS EARLIER THIS AFTERNOOHN.
