AT 1210 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NEAR GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS WILLIAMS...DEFIANCE AND PAULDING COUNTIES OF NORTHWEST OHIO. THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AROUND 30 MPH. PEOPLE THROUGHOUT ALL OF NORTHWEST OHIO SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS THE NEXT FEW HOURS. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO CRAWFORD COUNTY BY 145 PM EDT. THE HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE EAST ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 140 PM EDT MON JUN 29 1987 AT 120 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER FOSTORIA OHIO MOVING EAST AROUND 50 MPH. THIS STORM WAS PART OF A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM TOLEDO THROUGH FOSTORIA TO NEAR UPPER SANDUSKY. THIS LINE OF STORMS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS DUE TO ITS RAPID MOVEMENT. THE STORMS ALSO HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO PRODUCE VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND SMALL HAIL. THE CENTER OF THE STRONGEST STORM WILL BE MOVING JUST NORTH OF TIFFIN AND ENTERING THE BELLEVUE AND WILLARD AREAS JUST BEFORE 2 PM EDT. THE STORMS WILL BE TO SANDUSKY BEFORE 230 PM EDT.
