EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
IN NORTH ALABAMA
...LAMAR...MARION...PICKENS
A LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WAS IN EAST MISSISSIPPI JUST SOUTHEAST
TUPELO TO NEAR COLUMBUS AND MERIDIAN. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. A TORNADO WARNING MAY HAVE TO BE ISSUED WITH
SHORT NOTICE.
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PERODUCE TORNADOES

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR A LARGE PART OF NORTH AND WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA UNTIL AT LEAST 8 OCLOCK TONIGHT. IT IS ALMOST CERTAIN THAT SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS WILL BE NEEDED SOON FOR SOME WEST-CENTRAL ALABAMA COUNTIES. A LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS IN EAST MISSISSIPPI WAS MOVING NORTHEAST RAPIDLY. SEVERAL TORNADOES HAVE BEEN REPORTED. THESE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS MAY AFFECT WEST ALABAMA'S LAMAR...PICKENS...SUMTER...GREENE AND MARION COUNTIES AS EARLY AS 600 OCLOCK THIS EVENING.
