SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE 
FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

NORTHEAST LOWER MICHIGAN...ALPENA
...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
COUNTY JUST MENTIONED

WEATHER RADAR AT 210 PM SHOWED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHWEST
ALPENA COUNTY MOVING NORTHEAST AROUND 30 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE PATCH
OF THIS STORM GET INSIDE AND BOATERS TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF; THIS STORM..GET TO A REINFORCED BUILDING.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WIND..LARGE HAIL..VERY
HEAVY RAIN..AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THEY OCCASIONALLY DO SPAWN A
TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.

AT 120 PM AN AREA OF VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED OVER
MONTMORENCY...ALPENA AND PRESQUE ISLE COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST LOWER
MICHIGAN. THE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT IN MONTMORENCY COUNTY REPORTED
PEA SIZED HAIL WITH ONE THUNDERSTORM.

ALL MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

PERSONS IN MONTMORENCY PRESQUE-ISLE AND ALPENA COUNTIES...AS WELL AS
BOATERS ALONG LAKE HURON FROM ROGERS CITY TO SOUTH POINT SHOULD BE
ON THE ALERT FOR HEAVY RAIN...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...GUSTY WINDS AND
SMALL HAIL AS THESE STORMS PASS OVERHEAD.

THESE CONDITIONS ARE EXTECTED TO EXIST UNTIL 430 PM EDT.
