THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 320 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF

WEST CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN...NORTHERN LAKE

AT 243 AM EDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES
NORTHEAST OF SCOTTVILLE MICHIGAN...ABOUT 50 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
TRAVERSE CITY...MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..GET TO A REINFORCED BUILDING.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WIND..LARGE HAIL..VERY
HEAVY RAIN..AND FREQUENT LIGHTNdING. THEY OCCASIONALLY DO SPAWN A
TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.

AT 1215 AM EDT A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING INTO NORTH
CENTRAL AND MID NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN. THE LEADING EDGE EXTENDED
FROM 25 MILES WEST OF HOUGHTON LAKE TO 20 MILES WEST OF CLARE.

THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND
MAY PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS...HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
