000 TTAA00 KHON 070028 SVRHON SDC085-070130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HURON SD 728 PM CDT MON JUL 6 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...EASTERN LYMAN THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE ADJACENT WATERS OF THE MISSOURI RIVER. SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE RELIANCE, LOWER BRULE, OACOMA. AT 725 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 35 TO 45 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PIERRE. MOVING EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING... WIND GUSTS OF 60 MPH OR HIGHER...HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS RAPIDLY. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE ORw NO ADVANCE WARNING SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.
