RADAR AND SATELLITE PICTURES SHOW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN MOVING SLOWLY NORTHWARD THROUGH LINCOLN COUNTY NEW MEXICO. REPORTS FROM RUIDOSO AND CORONA INDICATE THAT HEAVY RAINFALL HAS OCCURRED OFF AND ON IN THE AREA OVER THE LAST FEW HOURS...BUT NO MEASUREMENTS OF PRECIPITATION HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE SO FAR. CONTINUED THUNDERSHOWER ACTIVITY IS LIKELY IN THIS AREA FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS...SO RESIDENTS AND OTHERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF RISING WATER IN SMALL STREAMS AND NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS. CAMPERS AS WELL AS OTHERS VISITING THE AREA SHOULD KEEP OUT OF LOW LYING AREAS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OR WATER CROSSING ROADWAYS IN LOW SPOTS.
