SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ 325 PM MST SAT JUL 12 1986 AT 310 PM THE TUCSON WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SUDDEN INCREASE IN THUNDERSHOWER ACTIVITY IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY AND SOUTHWEST COCHISE COUNTY. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FRON NEAR ARIVACA EAST SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH OF MERACLE VALLEY IN MEXICO. THE STORMS ARE DEVELOPING IN A LINE ABOUT 15 TO 20 MILES WIDE AND APPEAR TO BE MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NORTHWEST. ANYONE LIVING OR TRAVELING IN THE AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF STRONG WINDS WITH BLOWING DUST CAUSING REDUCED VISIBILITIES...POSSIBLE HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF WASHES FILLING SUDDENLY.
