FLASH FLOOD WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK
754 PM CDT THU JUN 5 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1155 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA...MUSKOGEE...ROGERS...EASTERN TULSA AND WAGONER

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS HIGH WATER AND FLOODING ARE EXPECTED
IN THE WARNING AREA.

AT 0750 PM  HEAVY RAIN WAS INDICATED BY THE TULSA RADAR
ACROST PORTIONS OF EASTERN TULSA, ROGERS, WESTERN WAGONER
AND MUSKOGEE COUNTIES. THESE RAIN STORMS ARE ALMOST STATIONARY
BUT DRIFTING TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST 4 OR 5 MILES AN HOUR.

PEOPLE LIVING NEAR AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING OR HIGH WATER
SHOULD GO TO HIGHER GROUND AWAY FROM FAST RISING WATERS.  MOTORIST
SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN DRIVING SINCE HIGHWAY UNDERPASSES
AND LOW AREAS WILL LIKELY BE FLOODED.  IF YOUR CAR STALLS IN FLOOD
WATERS...ABANDON IT AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
PEOPLE ON FOOT SHOULD NEVER TRY TO WALK THROUGH FLOWING WATER
ABOVE THEIR KNEES...GO IMMEDIATELY TO A HIGH GROUND LOCATION.
