FLASH FLOOD WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

OKLAHOMA...PITTSBURG AND LATIMER

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS HIGH WATER AND FLOODING ARE EXPECTED
IN THE WARNING AREA.

AT 130 PM   HEAVY RAIN WAS INDICATED BY THE TULSA RADAR IN THESE
TWO COUNTIES WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY SHOWERS EXPECTED THIS AFTER-
NOON.  REPORTS OF THREE TO FOURS INCHES OF RAIN SINCE 7 AM THIS
MORNING IN PARTS OF THE WARNING AREA.

PEOPLE LIVING NEAR AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING OR HIGH WATER
SHOULD GO TO HIGHER GROUND AWAY FROM FAST RISING WATERS.  MOTORIST
SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN DRIVING SINCE HIGHWAY UNDERPASSES
AND LOW AREAS WILL LIKELY BE FLOODED.  IF YOUR CAR STALLS IN FLOOD
WATERS...ABANDON IT AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
PEOPLE ON FOOT SHOULD NEVER TRY TO WALK THROUGH FLOWING WATER
ABOVE THEIR KNEES...GO IMMEDIATELY TO A HIGH GROUND LOCATION.
