THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE
UNTIL 400  PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

NORTHCENTRAL KANSAS...MITCHELL

AT 320 PM CDT SEVERAL FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE REPORTED 7 MILES SOUTH OF
BELOIT.  MOVMENT WAS TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.


IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THbIS TORNADO..YOU SHOULD GO TO A BASEMENT
SHELTER IF AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE GO TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE
LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE.  CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED FOR
A REINFORCED BUILDING.

310 PM CDT THU JUN 5 1986

AT 3PM CDT RADAR INDICATED RAPIDLY DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS OVER
CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS LOCATED 10 MILES WEST
OF CLAY CENTER AND  5 MILES NORTHWEST OF GLASCO IN NORTH CENTRAL
KANSAS.  MOVEMENT OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WAS TO THE NORTHWEST AT
10 MPH.  DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS BRIEF BUT
HEAVY RAINS COULD CAUSE FLOODING OF STREETS AND LOW LYING AREAS..
ESPECIALLY OVER AREAS ALREADY SATURATED FROM HEAVY RAINS LAST NIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHERN RUSSELL COUNTY 20 MILES NORTH OF RUSSELL
AT 3 PM WERE PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN. THESE THUNDWERSTORMS WERE
ALSO MOVING TO THE NORTHWEST AT 10 MPH
