SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONCORDIA KS 110 AM CDT WED MAY 7 1986 A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF NORTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL KANSAS UNTIL 2 AM CDT THIS MORNING. AT 110 AM CDT RADAR SHOWED A 5 MILE WIDE LINE OF STRONG TO INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 5 MILES EAST OF MANKATO TO 15 MILES NORTH OF CLAY CENTER IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING NORTH AT 15 MPH. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND PEA SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED AT KACKLEY WHICH IS 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BELLEVILLE AT 100 AM CDT.
