THUNDERSHOWERS ARE SPRINGING UP OVER NORTHERN UTAH AGAIN THIS
AFTERNOON.. AS TROPICAL MOISTURE CONTINUES OVER THE AREA. IN ADDITION
TO THESE THUNDERSHOWERS.. SOME REPORTS OF SMALL HAIL HAVE BEEN RECEIVED
IN THE SALT LAKE AREA.
IN KEARNS.. HAILSTONE CLUSTERS TO 11/4 INCHES IN DIAMETER WERE NOTED..
WHILE IN WEST VALLEY CITY INDIVIDUAL MARBLE SIZED HAILSTONES WERE SEEN.
A FEW OTHER SPOTS IN THE VALLEY HAVE RECEIVED PING PONG BALL TO PEA
SIZED HAIL. THE WEST VALLEY OBSERVER ALSO HAD .3 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN
15 MINUTES.
SCATTERED THUNDERSHOWER%S ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ALONG THE WASATCH
FRONT THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SOME ADDITIONAL SMALL
HAIL IS POSSIBLE.

AT 530 PM RADAR OBSERVATIONS AND SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATED STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS OVER SEVERAL AREAS OF NORTHERN UTAH TO INCLUDE.. 10
MILES WEST OF SALT LAKE CITY.. OVER THE NORTH END OF THE GREAT
SALT LAKE.. BETWEEN DUGWAY AND FAIRFIELD.. AND JUST EAST OF HEBER
CITY.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING FROM THE SOUTHWEST BETWEEN 15 AND
25 MPH. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY
BE AREAS OF SMALL HAIL. IN ADDITION STRONG GUSTY WINDS.. DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING.. AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE FROM THESE
THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN UTAH THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE MAIN
ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE DECREASING ABOUT 11 PM TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
