SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ABILENE TX 610 PM CDT FRI JUL 11 1986 AT 605 PM A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 2 MILES WEST OF GOLDSBORO. VERY HEAVY RAIN, STRONG GUSTY WINDS, INTENSE LIGHTNING AND HAIL ARE POSSIBLE IN THIS STORM. THIS STORM WAS DRIFTING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. ANOTHER HEAVY THUNDERSTORM WAS OCCURRING ON HIGHWAY 283 AT THE COLEMAN/ CALLAHAN COUNTY LINE OF ABOUT 12 MILES NORTHEAST OF NOVICE. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR. DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE. AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLE FLOODING.
