000 TTAA00 KSHV 200005 TORSHV LAC015-119-200100- BULLETIN...EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 600 PM CST SAT APR 19 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 7:00 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING PARISHES IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND WEBSTER. AT 5:55 PM CST THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED A POSSIBLE TORNADO OVER THE NORTH PART OF SHREVEPORT MOVING EAST NEAR 35 MPH. A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS SIGHTED SOUTHWEST OF KTAL TV IN SHREVEPORT AT 5:45 PM. FUNNEL CLOUD OBSERVED AT 5:40 PM NORTHWEST OF THE SHREVEPORT REGIONAL AIRPORT. TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ALONG HIGHWAY 80 EAST SIDE OF MARSHALL TEXAS AT 5:30 PM DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES. PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IN A PERMANENT STRUCTURE ON THE LOWEST FLOOR IN AN INTERIOR SMALL ROOM. GET UNDER A PIECE OF HEAVY FURNITURE OR COVER YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING TO PROTECT AGAINST FLYING OR FALLING DEBRIS.
