NEWSPSSHV SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 630 PM CST THU APR 3 1986 ...STRONG AND POSSIBLE SEVERE STORMS EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE ARKLATEX TONIGHT... STRONG THUNDERSTOMS ARE ONGOING AT 630 PM FROM SOUTHCENTRAL OKLAHOMA SOUTHWARD ACROSS NORTHCENTRAL TEXAS..ALSO STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF NORTHEAST TEXAS. WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR A FEW COUNTIES IN NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEAST TEXAS... REFER TO BULLETINS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER FORECAST OFFICE IN FORT WORTH. AT 630 PM CST...VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE INDICATED BY WEATHER SERVICE RADARS FROM EAST OF ARDMORE OKLAHOMA SOUTHWARD TO NEAR FORT WORTH..AND FROM SOUTH OF GREENVILLE TEXAS TTO 30 MILES WEST OF THE TYLER AREA TO 30 MILES OF LUFKIN. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST. ADDITONAL STRONG THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT WILL TAKE PLACE THIS EVENING AND AFFECT EXTREME SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA..AND THE REMAINDER OF NORTHEAST TEXAS AND FINALLY SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS AND NORTHWEST LOUISIANA LATER TONIGHT.
