000 TTAA00 KSGF 110044 SVRSGF MOC011-097-110145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 744 PM CDT TUE JUN 10 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...BARTON AND JASPER AT 745PM RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 35 MILES NORTH OF JOPLIN TO ABOUT 40 MILES WEST OF JOPLIN. THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDESTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA. 8 IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..YOU SHOULD GO TO A SAFE PLACE IMMEDIATELY AND RELAY YOUR SEVERE WEATHER REPORTS TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.
