000 TTAA00 KRDU 202206 SVRRDU NCC051-202300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 604 PM EDT FRI JUN 20 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF NORTH CAROLINA...CUMBERLAND AT 600 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WAS REPORTED IN EXTREME SOUTHEAST MOORE COUNTY MOVING TO TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. THE PROJECTED PATH OF THIS STORM IS OVER OR NEAR FAYETTEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL... AT 320 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED INTO THE CENTRAL COASTAL PLAIN OF NORTH CAROLINA. THE STRONGEST STORMS STRETCHED ACROSS NORTHERN LENOIR COUNTY INTO WAYNE COUNTY JUST SOUTH OF GOLDSBORO. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AROUND 20 MILES AN HOUR. PERSONS IN THE CENTRAL COASTAL AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN THAT MAY ACCOMPANY THESE THUNDERSTORMS.
