... THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING OVER THE TRI STATE REGION ...

AT 230 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN DEVELOPING OVER WEST KENTUCKY AND
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI.

ONE STRONG STORM WAS LOCATED 35 MILES TO THE SOUTHWEST OF
OWENSBORO..NEAR MADISONVILLE..IN HOPKINS COUNTY.  ANOTHER STORM IN
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI WAS LOCATED 15 MILES TO THE NORTH OF POPLAR BLUFF
IN WAYNE COUNTY.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT AROUND 20 MILES AN HOUR.

SMALL HAIL..FREQUENT LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS..CAN BE EXPECTED
WITH THESE STORMS AS THEY PASS OVERHEAD.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EVANSVILLE IN
335 PM CDT WED MAY 14 1986

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT FOR
EXTREME SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...EXTREME SOUTHERN INDIANA AND FOR ALL
OF WESTERN KENTUCKY.

AT 325 PM CDT THERE WERE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY.
THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN A BAND FROM OWENSBORO TO ELIZABETHTOWN.
ALSO A STRONG THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPED ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
BOWLING GREEN. IT WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH TOWARD BOWLING GREEN.

THERE WAS ONE OTHER THUNDERSTORM WITH HEAVY RAIN IN WESTERN KENTUCKY
JUST WEST OF MADISONVILLE. ALL THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST
AT 25 MPH.

THERE WERE ALSO ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE OHIO RIVER IN
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.
