THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:

IN CENTRAL TENNESSEE
          ..SOUTHERN DEKALB..NORTHERN WARREN

RADAR SHOWS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF
SMITHVILLE TN MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH, LARGE HAIL, AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER,
PREFERABLY OINSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

20 MINUTES. THIS OCCURRED BETWEEN 6 AND 620 PM CDT. CURIOUSLY, AT
METRO AIRPORT ONLY .02 INCH FELL AS THE LINE OF THYNDERSTORMS MOVED
THROUGH.
     ALSO, WILSON COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTS TREES DOWN ABOUT 9 MILES
SOUTH> OF LEBANON TN ON HIWAY 231. THIS OCCURRED ABOUT 630 PM CDT.
